Do you like outdoor activities? I’ll share my outdoor experience in this article. I enjoyed stargazing, canoeing, walking and so on!

Stargazeing@Lennox and Addington

borrowed from my friend

Departing at Finch station at 7:30pm, it took about 2 hours to get the stargazing spot, the county of Lennox and Addington.
The sky was clear enough to enjoy the stars and I saw a lot of shooting stars there.
Although my eyesight is really bad, I enjoyed the beautiful sky just with my glasses.

It was dark there and no lights around the spot. Since I went there in July, I should’ve brought mosquito spray with me… There were TOO MANY MOSQUITOES there! So please be careful.
But it’s a definitely great place for stargazing!

Brunch at Spill the Beanz

Really cozy and local Cafe is just about 10-minute drive from where I stayed, Airbnb. They had guitars and some more musical instruments there and also you can enjoy seeing some CD jackets, old posters, stuffs for live performance and so on.

The foods are pretty nice as well. I ordered Log Cabin Breakfast: 2 eggs(scrambled), Bacon, Toast and Homefries. A man who was already at the cafe was having the same one and it was one of his favorites. Some local people were enjoying the food and the atmosphere. The cafe is really small but it seemed to be loved by the locals.

Also, you can find cute handmade glass charms by the wife of the owner there. They were sooooo beautiful, cheap as well.

Canoeing at Bon Echo Provincial Park

It was a perfect day for canoeing! Wonderful weather, great nature, nice people. I rent a canoe to explore the lake. They, of course, have rental jackets, too. I enjoyed canoeing almost 2 hours. I saw some kids canoeing by themselves and some people bodyboarding as well. The lake has some spots with rough wave but most of the part was quiet and calm. Also you can have a wonderful cruesing if you like.

Photogenic spot

If you love to take good pictures, this place would be nice for you. Unfortunately, I arrived there after 5pm and the shop there already closed…. but it is absolutely cute place where you can feel old western atmosphere.

Marmoraton Mine Site

I arrived there too late again, but the scenery was amazing. I felt as if I was in the Final Fantasy or something like that. It was a really calm place and also a good place for meditation.

Harbour @Meyers Pier

The harbour was great to see the sunset. It was beautiful and romantic. There is a restaurant there and the foods were nice as well. You’d love the amazing sight of the lake and the nice drinks and burgers, sandwiches, fries and so on. They offer special discount on each day on different dish or alcohol!

To conclude

Canada has thousands of great places to visit and enjoy its great nature. These places I introduced in this article are not so far from Toronto. If you have a car, I’m sure you’ll find your favorite places/ things. If you don’t have a car, you can rent one around the city because there are so many rental car stores in Toronto. Summer is short in Canada. Make good plans and make the most of it!
