Have you ever heard of this word, “visual-kei”? It’s a genre of music in Japan. Actually, I’ve been a big enthusiast of visual-kei for over 10 years! In this article, I’d like to let you know a little about visual-kei!
What is visual-kei? – the definition
To define visual-kei is difficult, but one important characteristic of it is that it’s a category of music developed in Japan and men, called band-man in Japanese, put them makeup on their face. It usually refers to the style of the fashion and makeup as well as its music. The music is usually rock or metal, but these days there are varieties of types of music.
Famous and popular bands in visual-kei, my personal recommendation!
As I wrote above, I’m a big fan of visual-kei music, and I’d be really happy if you get interested in it only a little. Some visual-kei bands are becoming, or have already been, popular all over the world. I’ve loved “the GazettE” since I was a teenager! Here are some of my favorite bands, so please check it out!
