というちょっと変わった経歴！
好きなことを楽しくやって生きているさおりです！笑
ハロウィン前だから、ハロウィン感のある英語の授業がしたい！中学生でも楽しめる英語の歌ってある？
こんな悩みに、私が授業で使って生徒に人気だった曲を紹介します。ハロウィンの説明もすると、ただ「歌って楽しい」だけでなく、日本と海外の文化の違いもわかる授業になりますよ。
中学の英語授業で使えるハロウィンソング2選
私は授業で英語の歌をほぼ毎回扱っていました。いつ、どう扱っていたかというと、以下の感じです。
１）挨拶（3分）
２）歌（5分）
３）帯活動１（5分）
４）帯活動２（5分）
５）展開（授業のメイン）（32分）
歌う時には、歌詞カード（プリント）を配布し、教室に設置されている電子黒板でYouTubeを流していました。
歌を導入する初回は歌詞の音読や意味の確認があるので、歌にかける時間を10分～15分とっていました。
では、生徒にウケのよかったハロウィンソングを以下で紹介します！
This is Halloween
Nightmare Before Christmasの劇中歌のThis is Halloween。ディズニーランドのホーンテッドマンションでジャックが出てくるので、生徒は「おぉ！」となってくれました。（千葉県の学校勤務だったので）
いろいろな怪物が出てきてセリフ調で曲が進むので、100％モノにして歌うのは難しいのですが…サビのThis is Halloween…と繰り返す部分だけでも歌えると雰囲気が出て楽しいです。
文法的には分詞の後置修飾が出てきたりするので中3レベルです。
私は「難しすぎるかなあ」と思いながら中2授業で扱ったら生徒が気に入り、その子たちが中3になったときに「先生、This is Halloween歌いましょう！」って言ってきてくれました。難しさより楽しさが勝ったようです。

こちらも有名な映画のテーマソングですね。
実は、This is Halloween人気が高すぎてこの曲は私は授業で扱ったことはないのですが、昔生徒からリクエストがあった曲なので載せました。
曲調が単調なので、授業でみんなで歌うには盛り上がりに欠けるかなと思って扱わなかったのですが、中1でやるなら難易度低めで、元気よくGhostbusters!!ってそろえられて楽しいかもしれません。

ハロウィンの起源

ハロウィンは、もともとはSamhaim（ソーイン）という古代ケルトのお祭りに由来します。このお祭りでは、人々は霊を追い払うために焚火をして、衣装を着ていました。
ちなみに、ケルト人は2000年前に今のアイルランドやイギリス、北フランスに住んでいた民族だそうです。

アメリカにハロウィンが伝わったのは、ヨーロッパ人がアメリカ大陸に入植してからのこと。アメリカで最初のハロウィンは、「パーティーをすること」でした。
ハロウィンパーティーは公的なイベントで、収穫を祝うものだったそうです。近所の人たちが集まって亡くなった人の話をしたり、お互いの運勢を占ったり、踊ったり歌ったりしました。

アメリカでは、年間のおかしの売り上げの4分の1がハロウィンのためのものだそうです。
なかなか気合が入ってますね…！ちなみに、英語で言うcandyは飴だけでなく、キャラメルやチョコレートなども含みます。イメージとしては、小さい甘いお菓子という感じでしょうか。
